Nature Walk & Craft: Impressions in Clay
Join Hudson Valley Adventure Club and Cone Zero Ceramics for a playful and creative morning designed especially for children! We’ll begin with a gentle nature walk, perfect for little legs, as we explore the sights, sounds, and textures of the outdoors together. Along the way, participants will be encouraged to collect small natural treasures—like leaves, flowers, and interesting twigs—while learning about the plants, animals, and habitats around them.
After our walk, we’ll gather for a hands-on clay activity where kids can press their found nature items into soft clay and paint them to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind nature impressions. These keepsakes capture the patterns and details of nature and can be taken home after they are kiln fired as lasting memories of the day.
This event is ideal for children ages 3–10 and is designed to be accessible, relaxed, and engaging for all abilities. All materials, including snacks, will be provided. Just bring your curiosity, a sense of adventure, and clothes that can get a little messy!
What to Bring: Water, comfortable shoes, and a small bag or basket for collecting items

The Soft Spot X HV Adventure Club Group Hike
Join the ladies of The Soft Spot newsletter and HV Adventure Club for a fun, supportive family-friendly group hike in the Catskills! We will meet at the Schutt Road trailhead in Palenville, NY and embark on a three mile loop to Inspiration Point. This is a beautiful, moderate forested trail with views and many opportunities for snack breaks. It is on the challenging side for young toddlers who want to hike, so backpacks or carrying devices are strongly encouraged for when little legs get tired. The route is also highly adaptable so we can adjust based on the group’s mood - we’re in this together! Snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray will be provided, and kid carrier hiking backpacks are available for rent (select the add-on option on the sign up page).
